Business Week Organizing Committee is pleased to announce its 2011 partners of 9 world class organizations, which is comprises of unique mix of new and returning partners. We have our returning premier sponsors Deloitte and CGA and will be joined by CA, Sun Life Financial and Scotiabank this year.

The University of British Columbia, Sauder School of Business and the Commerce Undergraduate Society will all be returning as academic partners. Additionally, The Cavalier is our returning media partner and we are proud to work with Blank Vinyl Project as our entertainment partner.

The partnership scheme as undergone an extensive review with major enhancements and changes being applied. This will not only benefited Business Week from additional and better partners, but also greater exposure for every partner through maximized marketing exposure at signature events.

Where Business Starts

Business Week, the largest annual business fair at the University of British Columbia, today launches its 2011 marketing campaign based on the theme ‘Where Business Starts’. The advertising motifs featuring multiple arrows are inspired from the new logo which was introduced a year ago.

The largest marketing campaign ever done by the Business Week Organizing Committee, the first advertising installation can now be viewed on all media screens throughout the Sauder School of Business and throughout campus through the UBC Library and UBC Public Affair Media Network. More than 20 exhibitors are featured, reinforcing Business Week’s commitment to the success of its exhibitors and partners while offering unparalleled choices to visitors.

Printed advertisement will be progressively installed at selected locations with limited or no media screens. A brand new advertising installation concept, never seen before at the Sauder School of Business, is set to debut in early September. A strong marketing presence during the week will also bring the Business Week experience to a whole new level. Business Week, where business starts.

Greener Days Ahead

Business Week Organizing Committee today announced that it has entered into a long term definitive agreement with CUS Sustainability to advise and audit future Business Week operations and jointly explore greener, more sustainable alternatives to the existing.

Thriving to host the greenest Business Week ever, the Business Week Organizing Committee together with CUS Sustainability is fully committed to reduce carbon emmission by conducting a preliminary comprehensive review of past operations. Data statistics will also be compiled as a reference for future comparison.

Business Week, set to become the first and largest green event of the Commerce Undergraduate Society, will serve as a benchmark and a launch pad for the new CUS Sustainability-approved event certification program. All stakeholders including exhibitors and visitors will also be involved in the process to ensure the success of a better, greener Business Week.

Commerce Community Breakfast

Business Week will participate in the annual Commerce Community Breakfast in Vancouver, BC on Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Betty Tang, Vice-President External, will make a presentation at the event, which is scheduled to begin at approximately 8.30am PST. Ryan Kim, Vice-President Internal and Kai Gan, Event Coordinator will also be present.
